Ronda Wine Tour & Vineyard Lunch
Visit, tour and taste at vineyards set across the picturesque hills surrounding the historic village of Ronda.
Our Tannin Trail Tour includes transport and pickup from your doorstep in a modern, fully air-conditioned minibus, comprehensive tours of each vineyard and tastings of at least 3-4 wines at each cellar, as well as a vineyard lunch (in addition to the usual local cheese and deli selections).
Each cellar visit is around 1.5 hours, and on your tour you will be presented with detailed tastings of each wine, as well as informative information on the the varieties of grapes grown, differences in oak, and even insights into the winemakers’ own methodology. Tours and tasting are usually presented by the winemaker themselves, and your guide for the day will also have a wine-related qualification too (for all those Spanish wine questions you simply need to know).
What grows together, goes together, and this is the authentic Spanish food and wine experience, along with enjoying a bottle or two of wine between friends, both old and new...
Enjoy a typical Andalusian lunch at a vineyard to complete your tour. The choice of lunch menu varies by season, although during autumn/winter it is usually consists of bread, olive oil, meats and cheese, followed by a paella-style dish prepared by one of the winemakers themselves, accompanied with more wine.
Vegetarian, or dietary restriction and even vegan alternative menus available on request.

The scenic road to Ronda hints at something about the wines that are about to tasted on our Ronda wine tour. These are mostly red wines with attitude, as all the vineyards are is situated at an elevation higher than 750m above sea level, that proves elevation matters. Despite Ronda's relative infancy as an enotourism destination, it has historical viniculture roots that date back thousands of years to the aptly-named ruined ancient Roman city of Acinipo, meaning the 'city of wine' - one of the few cities in the Roman Empire that made wine of such good quality that it was exported back to Rome!
Most of the wineries on the Ronda Wine Tour are situated in the scenic "Serrania de Ronda" countryside, however one should not miss the historic centre of Ronda old town, with it's wonderful Arab and Moorish architecture and, of course, the famous Tajo Gorge and bridge. Our Ronda Wine Tour includes free-time to explore the beautiful sights around the old town (although if you are already familiar with Ronda, then the three-cellar tour with lunch would be more suitable).
